Hotel Blafell is located in Breiðdalsvík in eastern Iceland

Breiðdalsvík is a beautiful village on the edge of a broad bay in the eastern fjords where farming and fishing are traditionally the main livelihood. Breiðdalsvík is located between Skaftafell national park and Mývatn lake.  Breiðdalsvík has a camping ground with good facilities, a swimming pool, a gas station, a local store, a bank, a post office, an art and crafts market, a stone museum, an archaeological museum and an historical museum.  In the summer months there is a small outside market place. 

Breiddalsvik is about 67 km from Djúpivogur, 18 km from Stöðvarfjörður where you will find Petras Stone Collection and some 82 km from Egilsstaðir the largest centre in eastern Iceland.
